Membership and Guest Registration Waiver
Upon submitting this application, applicant does hereby acknowledge reading, understanding and adhering to the fact that publications, meetings, workshops, seminars, etc., produced, sponsored or promulgated by the Iowa Real Estate Investors Association (IaREIA) (a/k/a the Iowa Landlord Association LTD (ILA), herein collectively referred to as IaREIA) are designed to provide author’s or speaker’s opinion in regard to subject matter. Such opinion is promulgated with the understanding that neither IaREIA nor its individual authors, officers, directors, staff, or volunteers are thus engaged in rendering legal, accounting or professional service. If legal opinions, advice or counsel is desired, the assistance of a competent, licensed attorney should be sought. If other expert assistance is required, the services of a competent professional or trades person should be sought.
Similarly, public recognition of merchants or vendors offering special discounts or services to IaREIA members shall not be construed as representing any form of warranty, endorsement or guarantee of such service, nor of member satisfaction therewith. IaREIA and its officers, directors, volunteers, staff and authors thus specifically disclaim any corporate or personal liability for any loss or risk as a consequence of the use or application, either directly or indirectly, of any service, product, advice or information provided.
Applicant does hereby allow IaREIA the use and distribution of the information provided on the membership application unless otherwise stated in writing, agrees and acknowledges that:
- Applicant has received a copy of the Code of Ethics or has been provided access to this document;
- at any time IaREIA has the unconditional right to vote not to accept the applicant as a member in its sole and absolute discretion, whereupon the applicant’s dues shall be promptly refunded to the applicant’s address on file;
- at any time IaREIA has the right to revoke or suspend an applicant’s membership.
Applicant does hereby agree to abide by the IaREIA Code of Ethics and all IaREIA established Policies and Procedures. These documents are posted in the on-line library in the Members Area and at the bottom of each web page.
Recurring Billing Waiver
I DO HEREBY AUTHORIZE MY MEMBERSHIP BE RENEWED EITHER MONTHLY, QUARTERLY OR ANNUALLY, BASED ON THE MEMBERSHIP I/WE SELECTED AND THAT THE APPROPRIATE CHARGES (if any) BE APPLIED TO MY CREDIT CARD ON FILE. SHOULD I WISH TO DISCONTINUE MY MEMBERSHIP, I SHALL COMPLY TO IOWA REAL ESTATE INVESTORS ASSOCIATION’S POLICY TO SEND A WRITTEN NOTIFICATION VIA ELECTRONIC OR REGULAR MAIL 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE NEXT RECURRING BILLING DATE. Membership Refund Policy
Quarterly Membership Payments Plans: are not refundable under any circumstances. Quarterly Payments will renew automatically based on the type/interval of the membership unless you cancel your membership prior to the next billing cycle. Once a full year has been paid, then membership renewals will be quarterly and may be unsubscribed prior to renewal to stop charges.
Annual Memberships: are not refundable under any circumstances, for first time members. Conditionally, we offer a 1 year refund policy under the following conditions:
- You must attend at least 6 Main Monthly Meetings, which are all held on the 2nd Thursday of each (most) month. The ILA subgroup meets from 11-1 and the REI subgroup meets from 6-8:00. Occasionally, there will be meetings that are collapsed into a major event, like our Iowa REIA Expo.

- After one year, if your membership automatically renews, you may request a refund in the first 30 days if you have not attended any meetings, events, seminars, workshops or purchased anything through IaREIA with a member discount, from the automatic renewal date.
Related/Couples/Business Members
If you purchased a membership with more than one member on it, please send the following information to IaREIA from the Contact Us page:

Once this information has been received, your additional person(s) on your membership will receive an email with a “password reset link.” Please have each person click on this link to continue setting up their profile.
Note: If you RENEWED a membership with more than one person on it, the affiliate members on your account should have automatically updated, but it's a good idea to check on RELATED MEMBERS PROFILE page to verify. Event Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise noted in the Event Payment Details, as general rule, refunds may be obtained provided that cancellations are received at least 7 days prior to the Event. However, refunds for events are not guaranteed. Refunds depend upon the policies of 3rd party vendors and other factors. By registering for this event, you understand that you may not receive a full refund should you need to withdraw. All cancellation and refund requests should be made to the IaREIA from the Contact Us page or by calling (515) 710-1955.
