Housing Providers have options for how they screen resident applicants. If you use a professional screening resource like CIC (Contemporary Information Corporation), which is our background screening affiliated vendor.
You must be consistently objective, and we recommend using our Tenant Scoring Worksheet - B-015. Other than that the process for screening is your responsibility, though the local HCV administrator will inform you of what they have found in their screening process. |

The Introduction to the HCV Program is a video on Youtube which your prospective tenant will be required to view prior to issuance of a HCV in Des Moines and/or Polk County.
If your county has a video like this, please let us know so we can post it.
Otherwise, the program parameters are quite similar across all counties and states. After all, it is a federal program so there is considerable uniformity in all jurisdictions. |
